through Portlaoise, and the quaint town of Abbeyleix, and had a noon appointment to see the Rock of Cashel (also known as St. Patrick's Rock) |

The majority of the buildings
on the current site of the Rock of Cashel date back to the 12th and 13th centuries. The tower was built using the dry stone method (without mortar to bind the stones). |

We end the day arriving in Tralee, on the Dingle Peninsula, where we'll spend 2 nights. |
Dingle is the most western
point in Ireland. Tralee's port is the most westerly commercial point in all of Europe. |
