Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland
A hike down Trail 33, the Panoramic Trail.
The Kleine Scheidegg is a mountain pass situated below and between the Eiger and Lauberhorn peaks in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. The name means "minor watershed". The pass is traversed by a walking trail and the Wengernalp Railway, which both connect the villages of Grindelwald with Lauterbrunnen, passing through Wengen between the pass summit and Lauterbrunnen.
Mürren is a traditional Walser mountain village in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland, at an elevation of 5,374 feet above sea level. It cannot be reached by public road. The village features a view of the three towering mountains Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Mürren has a year-round population of 450, but has 2,000 hotel beds.
(Since we were here in 2022 they have added a brand new huge cable car system.)
A series of four cable cars, known as the Luftseilbahn Stechelberg-Mürren-Schilthorn (LSMS), provides transportation from Mürren downhill to Gimmelwald and Stechelberg, and uphill to the summit of the Schilthorn.
From Mürren there's a very-downhill hike to Gimmelwald.
But worth it to see and reach Gimmelwald.
And then a walk along the Valley before returning to Wengen.
